Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca has confirmed the club are planning to use the summer transfer window to become 'even more competitive'.
Reports have suggested that manager Jose Mourinho is plotting an audacious £100million raid on the Premier League, with Manchester United's star defender Nemanja Vidic thought to be his most-wanted man.
Tottenham's Jermaine Jenas could also be the subject of renewed interested following rumours that former Chelsea chief Mourinho failed in a January approach for the England midfielder, while a reunion with Didier Drogba is a possibility.
Branca claims that targets have yet to be identified, but he has confirmed transfer-strategy talks are planned as Italian title holders Inter - who again failed to live up to expectations in the UEFA Champions League this season - are keen to reinforce.
"There are no shortlists, but we want to make this Inter even more competitive," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We will sit around a table and decide what we need to do to improve our squad.
"President Massimo Moratti has already made a lot of sacrifices and we will try to make things even better."
