Werder Bremen playmaker Diego would be proud to play for Juventus, according to his father and agent.
The Brazilian is regarded as one of the finest players in the Bundesliga and Bremen have always insisted they would fight to keep him.
However, Juventus have been strongly linked with a summer move for Diego and he is flattered by the interest.
Diego's father Djair Ribas da Cunha, who deals with his son's business affairs, hopes an agreement can be reached.
He told Tuttosport: "Juventus is a big club, who does not want to play there?
"Diego would be really proud to play alongside all of their players.
"I would be very happy if negotiations could be started, but Werder Bremen and Juventus have to decide to start talking."
Diego was quoted as saying last month that he was being watched by Real Madrid and Manchester City, as well as Juventus.
