Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta will miss next month's UEFA Champions League clash with Arsenal through injury.
Perrotta faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up a hip problem in training.
Scans have confirmed Perrotta has torn a muscle and he could be sidelined for up to two months.
It means the Italian international will miss the second leg of Roma's tie with Arsenal on 11th March at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma are also sweating over the fitness of skipper Francesco Totti after he suffered a knee injury in training.
It is hoped that Totti's injury is not serious, but the attacker is a major doubt for this weekend's clash with Inter Milan.
