Striker dropped after turning up late for training

Inter Milan striker Adriano has been dropped from the squad for Wednesday's Seria A game at Fiorentina after turning up late for training. Adriano is reported to have already upset coach Jose Mourinho with his tactical indiscipline in the recent goalless draw with Genoa. He is then said to have spent the evening in a nightclub until the early hours before arriving late for training the following day.

Mourinho refused to comment on the incident, saying: "I talked to the players that I had to talk to, I talked to the team. "Everything is clear, like always. For this reason I talk only about the players in the squad for Wednesday's game. "I'm not commenting on anything else." Adriano's reputation preceded him even before Mourinho's arrival at the club. Former boss Roberto Mancini sent the forward to Sao Paulo on loan after growing tired of seeing his private life in the press. The 26-year-old is not the only player to be omitted from the squad to face Fiorentina, with Julio Cruz also left out after failing to follow instructions in the draw with Genoa. Asked whether the fall-outs would affect morale, Mourinho added: "The relationship between us (me and the squad) doesn't need to be put in question. "A relationship does not mean we always have to be kissy kissy."
