David Pizarro is confident Roma can recover from a shaky start to challenge for honours this season.
The Italian giants began their Serie A campaign last weekend with a 1-1 draw against Palermo.
That result led to suggestions that the capital club are perhaps not the title challengers they were expected to be.
However, one game does not make a season and Pizarro is backing the Giallorossi to be battling for silverware at home and abroad this term.
"We have all the ingredients to have a good season in Serie A and, in addition, to reach the final of the Champions League," said the Chilean midfielder.
"I have said in the past this year could see us win in Europe, but we have to remain focused.
"Any team can win or lose their first few games of the season. Now we have to play better in our next match and prove that we can play well at home and away."
