Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero insists he has no imminent plans to retire from football.
The 33-year-old is feeling in good shape ahead of the new season and is determined to be a first choice in Juventus' side.
He believes he could carry on playing until he is 40 and feels he retains the attributes to help Juve to success.
"I don't know when I'll hang up my boots," Del Piero told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I can certainly say that if I continue to feel the way I do now and have the same motivation, I could play another six or seven years.
"The desire to win and fight to be No.1 are aspects that have accompanied my career since the start.
"If you add to those the fact I believe in hard work and effort, then it becomes even easier. With these elements, victories are more likely to come your way."
