Goran Pandev insists he is happy to stay at Lazio and is expecting to sign a new contract.
The Macedonian striker has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League, but is poised to commit his long-term future to Lazio.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito says an agreement is already in place, and Pandev confirmed his intention to remain at the Stadio Olimpico.
"I'm happy here," Pandev told Radio Radio TV. "I've said many times I believe in this club.
"I only think about playing in a good way and helping the team.
"The negotiations? From my side, there is a big will to stay at Lazio. I'm happy here and I still have a lot to give to this club. I don't think there will be any problems."
Lotito had earlier stated that Pandev had accepted an extension to his contract, which is currently due to expire in 2010.
"We have reached an agreement with Goran for the contract renewal," said Lotito. "He will remain at the club for a long time.
"He knows he has the affection and support of this club."
