Stephen Appiah has rejected rumours suggesting he could be set to return to Juventus.

Former Old Lady midfielder refutes speculation

Fenerbahce midfielder Stephen Appiah has rejected rumours suggesting he could be set for a return to Juventus. The 27-year-old initially enjoyed success with Turkish giants Fenerbahce after joining the club from Juve in 2005. However, last season Appiah was hampered by injury and was forced to miss the majority of the campaign. The Ghana international is now undergoing his rehabilitation in Italy, sparking reports that he could make a dramatic return to The Old Lady. However, Appiah has strongly denied the speculation, and insists that he is committed to his current club.

Rumours

"I am a player of Fenerbahce and the reports in the news and on some websites about a possible move to Juventus is completely inaccurate," Appiah told his club's official website. "I am only here in Italy to see my doctors who are helping me recuperate from injury. "I have not met officials of any club or spoken to anybody about a move because I am still a player of Fenerbahce. "My only concentration now is that I want to return to full fitness and I hope I can finally put these transfer rumours to rest."
