Gianluca Zambrotta is hoping to help Milan win Serie A following his move from Barcelona.
Milan confirmed last week that they had reached a deal to bring the former Juventus defender back to Italy following a two-year stint at Camp Nou.
Zambrotta has now spoken for the first time of his delight at signing for the Rossoneri.
Milan finished fifth in the league last season but Zambrotta believes they can challenge for domestic glory.
"I will give my very best so that we can win everything here in Milan," the 31-year-old told the Milan Channel.
"It is an enormous pleasure to return to Italy and to a great side like the Rossoneri.
"I missed the chance to come here twice in the past, but this time we succeeded in agreeing a deal.
"This side hasn't won the Scudetto for a few years and that is my biggest motivation."
