Roma are close to agreeing a contract extension with Brazilian winger Mancini.
Manchester City were recently linked with a bid for the 27-year-old, but Mancini is keen to stay in the Italian capital.
He has held talks with Roma officials regarding a deal to extend his contract at Stadio Olimpico until 2012.
Mancini had admitted to a little concern that no agreement had yet been reached after initial discussions failed to resolve the issue.
However, Roma's technical director Bruno Conti believes a deal could be settled next month when the club face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
"Only little details are missing and need to be defined, and so we will meet again when it is the Champions League clash with Real Madrid," Conti told the Italian press.
"But we are really close to an agreement and this is the most important thing."
