Roma's chief officer Rosella Sensi has effectively blocked Antonio Cassano's dream of re-joining the club.
The striker left Roma two years ago to join Real Madrid, but after a disappointing period with the Spanish giants, he returned to Italy in the summer to play at Sampdoria.
But he has since told the Italian press he is dreaming of a return to Roma.
But Sensi has closed the door on such a move, telling Corriere Dello Sport: "I think Cassano has already had his opportunity at Roma and it seems right me underlining it.
"Now we keep the players we have who are all really good because they know exactly how important it is playing with Roma. So, I prefer keeping them."
