Cristiano Lucarelli would relish the chance to play for Milan before the end of his career.
Lucarelli only moved to Shakhtar Donetsk from Livorno over the summer but is already discussing his next destination.
"I think that there is only a faint chance of me signing for Milan," Lucarelli is quoted on Football Italia.
"I'm 32 and the Rossoneri like to go for younger players, but when it comes to football you can never say never.
"I'll stay in Ukraine until the end of the season and then I will weigh up my options."
Lucarelli spent the past four seasons with Livorno and would return to Italy unless a Premier League club came in for him.
He added: "I have always liked English football and I would also like to return to Italy."
