Striking duo insist all is well

Adrian Mutu and Christian Vieri have rubbished speculation they have fallen out at Fiorentina. The pair endured several angry exchanges with one another during Fiorentina's 1-0 victory over Catania on Sunday. Mutu - who scored Fiorentina's winning goal - and Vieri grew increasingly frustrated after a number of stray passes, but the striking duo insist there is no permanent rift. "It wasn't a big row, it's just the way that we talk on the field," Vieri told the Italian media.

Good relationship

"It's something we both understand. After we had shouted a bit he (Mutu) put two great passes through that I should have taken advantage of." Mutu is also adamant that all is well in his partnership with Vieri. "I have a good relationship with Vieri on the pitch," said Mutu. "We played very well to take the three points from Catania. I scored and I nearly gave Christian an assist so I am satisfied."
