Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini has underlined that, despite the number of absentees from his side, they will try to win at Fenerbahce in their UEFA Champions League opener on Wednesday.
Mancini is without five senior defenders as the Serie A champions look to make a winning start to Group G.
Italy international Marco Materazzi and Cristian Chivu are absent through injury whilst Nicolas Burdisso, Maicon and Ivan Cordoba are all suspended.
"We are only the favourites on paper," Mancini said. "We are missing all our defenders, even if [Walter] Samuel feels better."
On the possibility of Nelson Rivas making his debut he commented: "Rivas' life has changed after his arrival at Inter. He is a guy with qualities and good technical play.
"It's normal that he could have a few problems, but he has big improvement margins and he has a big will to learn."
