Juventus chief executive Jean-Claude Blanc has revealed that the club are set to discuss a new deal with Alessandro Del Piero.
The former Italy international's contract expires next summer, although, as yet, no agreement on an extension has been struck.
But Blanc explained that, in time, the club will sit down with the forward to discuss the finer details of his impending contract.
"We are taking the necessary time to discuss everything. We will meet with the player soon, but we don't want to do it publicly," he explained.
Claudio Ranieri has led his side to the top of Serie A with back-to-back wins in their opening games, but Blanc has played down their impressive start and highlighted the importance to remain level-headed.
"It is too early to take anything too literally, because the season has only just started," he added.
"If we maintain our composure we can have a good season."
