City striker makes loan switch to Serie A

Parma have signed Manchester City striker Bernardo Corradi on a season-long loan. The 31-year-old arrived at the The City of Manchester Stadium from Spanish side Valencia but managed just three goals in 29 appearances. Blues boss Sven Goran Eriksson has spent big over the summer, limiting Corradi's chances of first team football. Corradi netted twice during City's pre-season but has not featured in any of the side's fives games so far this season. The forward managed 13 caps for Italy between 2003 and 2004, scoring twice. Meanwhile the Serie A side are close to signing Helsingborg star McDonald Mariga. Parma previously had a bid turned down but have now renewed their interest and Mariga's agent Martin Dahlin confirmed negotiations are ongoing. "It's correct that we are negotiating with a foreign club," Dahlin told Fotbollskanalen.se.
