Roma's Brazilian defender Juan is set for a spell on the sidelines after damaging his hamstring. The former Bayer Leverkusen man picked up the injury in his side's warm-up clash against Juventus. Scans have confirmed a minor hamstring strain and he is set to sit out the next two weeks - ruling him out of Brazil's friendly clash against Algeria in Montpellier on 22nd August. Giallorossi coach Luciano Spalleti has already ruled Juan out of the Italian Super Cup final against Internazionale, but is hoping the 28-year-old will be fit for the Serie A opener against Palermo on 26th August.
