Olof Mellberg has spoken of his delight at his summer switch to Stadio Olimpico after he was officially unveiled as a Juventus player.
Mellberg was presented to the press on Saturday following the completion of his free transfer from Aston Villa.
The Sweden defneder agreed a pre-contract with the Italian giants in January and arrives on a three-year deal.
Mellberg explained how he did not think twice about joining The Old Lady, and is aiming to bring success back to the club.
"I know I have arrived at one of the most important clubs in the world. Once I knew of their interest, I considered no other offer," he said on the club's official website.
"From January onwards I watched all the Bianconeri's games and got to know my new team-mates. So far I am also very impressed by the affection of the fans.
"We follow Italian football very keenly in Sweden and Juventus are one of the most loved clubs.
"Watching so many matches in the last six months I saw how many strong defenders there are, but competition is not a problem for me.
"I am sure together we can take Juventus back to the top of Italian and European football."
