Gimnastic de Tarragona defender Miguel Angel Llera has travelled to England to negotiate a move to Watford.
Llera played a key part for Gimnastic as they gained promotion to La Liga last season but he has not been able to establish himself in the side this term.
Paco Flores does not see Llera in his plans for the future and Gimnastic have authorised for him to meet Watford officials.
According to Spanish sources, Watford tried to clinch a deal for Llera at the end of January without success.
Llera, whose Gimnastic contract expires in June, may now be offered a trial at Vicarage Road.
And the defender insists he would relish the chance to resurrect his career in England.
"I have a promise with the English and I desire to play in the Premier League," he said.
