La Liga basement boys Gimastic de Tarragona have finalised a deal for French midfielder Sebastien Chabaud.
The 29-year-old joins from Belgian outfit Charleroi and has agreed an initial contract until the end of the season.
A defensive midfielder by trade, Chabaud is an experienced campaigner who started his career with a five-year stint at Cannes before joining Nancy in the summer of 2000.
He then moved to Belgium in 2003 and has been a regular for Charleroi ever since.
Nastic boss Paco Flores clearly feels the Frenchman's strength and work-rate will aid his side's bid to extricate themselves from La Liga's bottom three.
The Catalan outfit are currently some nine points from safety, but gave themselves renewed hope of turning their season around with a thumping 4-0 success over Espanyol last weekend.
Chagaud becomes the club's fourth signing of the transfer window following the captures of striker Ruben Castro and defenders Cesar Navas and Jose Maria Calvo.
