Spaniards hopeful of agreeing terms

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay is due to fly to England next week for talks with Arsenal over Carlos Vela. The Mexican is currently on a season-long loan from Arsenal, and is performing well for the Basque side. Vela's future looks to lie away from the London side having played just 60 times since joining in 2005 - indeed most of his time has been spent away from the club on loan having also played for Salamanca, Osasuna and West Bromwich Albion. Now with Sociedad keen to strike a deal, Vela is also believed to be hopeful that Aperribay can agree terms during his trip. A number of clubs around Europe are believed to be keen on the 23-year-old, but Sociedad have first option and the player himself is understood to be keen to remain at the Anoeta.
