Real Sociedad have completed the loan signing of Argentine forward German Herrera and have agreed a deal for experienced Brazilian winger Savio.
Herrera (pictured) arrives from Brazilian outfit Gremio where he was also on loan, this time from Argentine side San Lorenzo.
An Argentina youth international, the 23-year-old managed nine goals during his spell with Gremio and is highly rated in South America.
He joins on loan until the end of the season whereupon the Spaniards will have an option to complete a permanent five-year transfer.
Sociedad will now be hoping he can transfer his scoring exploits to the Spanish league and bolster a strike-force that has the joint worst record in La Liga.
The Basque outfit have managed just 12 goals in 17 games, a record which unsurprisingly sees them sitting second bottom.
However, despite the club's difficult predicament, Herrera is delighted to have clinched a move to Spain.
"It is a dream for me to play in Spain and the effort of everyone will help to take us forward," he stated.
Meanwhile, former Real Madrid and Zaragoza winger Savio is putting the finishes touches to his move having consented to a switch from Flamengo.
The 33-year-old left Zaragoza last year insisting he had to return to his native Brazil to be closer to his family, but is now ready to join Sociedad's bid to stave off relegation.
