Real Sociedad have completed the signing of Alaves defender Juanito and Portuguese midfielder Fabio Felicio.
Sociedad have been chasing Juanito for several weeks but had failed to reach a deal with their Basque neighbours.
An initial bid of é¼500.000 was turned down, but the player's desire to remain in the top-flight following Alaves' relegation appears to have helped force the transfer through.
The 26-year-old joined Alaves last summer from Malaga and performed well despite his side's struggles.
His capture will provide Sociedad with versatility as he can operate in central defence or as a holding midfielder.
Indeed, Sociedad's rebuilding continues apace as they have also wrapped up a deal for Felicio who arrives from Uniao Leiria.
The 24-year-old has signed a four-year deal and his arrival has prompted Sociedad to opt against making John Viafara's loan move permanent.
The Colombian midfielder arrived on loan from Portsmouth in January and made 11 appearances for the Spaniards, however he did not do enough to earn a full-time deal and will now return to Fratton Park.
Another player who will be staying at the Anoeta is Jon Ansotegi who has signed a two-year contract extension.
The 23-year-old defender came through the club's youth ranks and made the breakthrough to the first-team last season.
"It's what I wanted," Ansotegi stated. "Real is my club - they are the club that made me a footballer and I wanted to carry on playing here. I am very happy."
