Real Sociedad midfielder Igor Gabilondo has been ruled out of action for a month with a thigh injury.
The 26-year-old sustained a tear to his left thigh during last weekend's defeat at Alaves.
He was forced from the field after 39 minutes of the game at the Mendizorroza and a scan has now revealed the full extent of the problem.
It is the latest in what has been a spate of serious injuries to hit the Basque club.
Striker Darko Kovacevic has been ruled out for the rest of the season, while French defender Jeremie Brechet also broke down recently.
