Levante have announced the signing of former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko on a short-term contract.
The Mali international has agreed a six-month deal through to the end of the season.
He moves to Spain as a free agent having negotiated his release from Paris Saint-Germain in September.
The 29-year-old has been without a club since then and has been linked with several sides across Europe.
Reading were among the first to express an interest, while Crystal Palace failed to reach an agreement with Sissoko after inviting him for a trial.
A return to La Liga, where he has previously turned out for Valencia, was then mooted after Real Valladolid entered the running.
It is, however, Levante who have lured Sissoko back to Spain and they are believed to have the option of extending his stay for a further 12 months should he impress over the remainder of the campaign.
