Bhoys boss not chasing Kranjcar and Ramis

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has distanced the club from moves for Niko Kranjcar and Ivan Ramis. The Tottenham winger and Real Mallorca defender had been linked with transfers to Parkhead recently. However, Lennon has not been in touch with Spurs and insists the link with Ramis is news to him. "I don't know anything about a move for Kranjcar," he said. "He's a good player but I've had no contact with anyone at Tottenham. "And the same goes for suggestions we're back in for Ramis. That's news to me."

Trialists

Lennon is currently running the rule over trialists Freddie Ljungberg and Dwayne De Rosario and feels bargain basement deals are more likely to happen. "These are the opportunities that come along in the transfer window," he continued. "I would imagine some sort of deal could be done which won't cost us a lot of money. "There are players available who won't cost us big bucks but could turn out to be a huge bonus for us." That could mean Celtic will miss out on Croatia Under 21 defender Dino Skvorc, who is valued in the £1million bracket by NK Varazdin. The stopper is currently on trial at Celtic and while he is keen on a move to the SPL giants, the transfer fee could prove a stumbling block. "I would love to sign for a club like Celtic and fight for a first-team place," explained 20-year-old Skvorc.
