Levante have finally completed the signing of Italian midfielder Damiano Tommasi.
The 32-year-old, who was a free agent having departed Roma earlier in the summer, has agreed a two-year deal with the newly-promoted outfit.
Levante initially claimed to have secured his services some two weeks ago, but the Italian stalled, claiming he wanted to consider his options before committing himself to the move.
However, after consulting with his family, he has now agreed to move to Spain after some 234 appearances in Serie A.
"My signing for Levante brings a new experience," he told reporters. "I am very happy and looking forward to getting started with this side."
Levante have been busy in the transfer during the close season as they prepare for life back in the top-flight and have made a number of high-profile signings including Laurent Robert, Alvaro and Frederic Dehu.
