GUSTAVO LOPEZ is out of the Celta Vigo side for a month after sustaining an injury in the game against Malaga on Sunday, while Sergio is in hospital recovering from appendicitis.
The match ended all square at 2-2, with Celta coming from a goal behind to lead, only for a Fernando Caceres own goal to leave the Vigo side with a point.
What was more of a blow to the club was the loss of Lopez (pictured) who sustained a leg injury after 30 minutes and was forced from the field.
The Argentinian has suffered a strain and will be out for four weeks.
Speaking about the injury, Lopez said: "It is the worst moment for a player. At the beginning of a season when you're searching for form.
"It is a very dangerous type of injury and it is best to avoid a relapse so that I can return in perfect condition."
Sunday got worse for Celta when defender Sergio was admitted to hospital with a strong abdominal pain. Tests determined that it was appendicitis and he was operated upon immediately and he too will be out for a month.
Coach Miguel Angel Lotina said: "It is an additional problem and one we did not count upon, but football has these things.
"I hope the bad luck has finished now."
