Inter eyeing Silvinho move

SERIE A giants Internazionale are reportedly ready to make a big-money move for Celta Vigo's Brazilian defender Silvinho.

The former Arsenal man has made an immediate impact in La Liga, after moving from Highbury last season, and is being eyed to strengthen the Giuseppe Meazza side's push for the Scudetto next season.

Although Celta are not keen on selling Silvinho they could be tempted by a big offer for the star, as the club already has Juanfran contesting the Brazilian for a first team place in the starting 11.

"We have received offers for the player, but none that interest us," said the club's president Horacio Gomez."He is a great player, and one that I want to keep in the squad."

However, even if the club were to agree a fee for the star, the player has stated he is happy with the Estadio Balaidos side and wants to bring success to the club.

"Soccer is very simple," said Silvinho. "When an offer for a player exists, the club has to negotiate to agree a deal and the player knows nothing.

"What I'm hoping to do is stay here in Celta, as I'm very happy with the club.

"I think it is very for us to win a trophy next season. I hope on a personal level that I can reach to level of performances I reached last season."
