Brazilian makes Betis plea

Edu has urged Real Betis to take up their option to sign him on a permanent basis.

Brazilian forward Edu has urged Real Betis to take up their option to sign him on a permanent basis.

The Primera outfit have until June 30 to clinch the transfer, but have thus far failed to close the deal.

The 27-year-old joined from Celta Vigo two seasons ago, but Betis have now to decide whether to keep hold of him on an extended basis.

It seems likely they will ultimately keep hold of the player with Edu having been a first-team regular of the past couple of campaigns.

However, he has pleaded with them to resolve his situation as quickly as possible.

"I have developed a great affection for Betis and would like this to be sorted out in the best way possible for everyone without any controversy," the South American stated.
