Real Betis star Edu has been ruled out of action for three weeks.
The Brazilian star ruptured a muscle in his left leg during training and now looks set to be sidelined until May.
Betis are still hoping that intense treatment could have the former Celta Vigo star ready for action within two weeks.
"We are optimistic that he could still return in just several days," said Betis' chief medical offer Tomas Calero.
