Osasuna have struck a deal to take Real Betis winger Juanlu on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old has struggled to command a first-team berth since joining Los Verdiblancos from Numancia 12 months ago and has opted to accept a spell away from the club.
It is the second time he has been loaned out by Betis having spent the second half of last season at Albacete.
The player is happy at the opportunity he has been offered - especially as Osasuna will be playing in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League this term - but admits his treatment by Betis has left him disappointed.
"The transfer is good for everyone involved," he stated. "I am going to try and help them for the Champions League."
Betis will reportedly try to use the deal to help ease their bid to sign Osasuna's French midfielder Ludovic Delporte, a move that has annoyed Juanlu.
"They have been saying all pre-season that they want a player who plays in my position," he added.
"I don't like the way they have tried to use me as a makeweight."
