Osasuna striker Ibrahima Bakayoko has been ruled out of action for around three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Ivory Coast international sustained a 'micro tear' in his right hamstring during last weekend's defeat to Deportivo La Coruna and was unable to complete the game.

Subsequent tests revealed the true nature of the problem, and the former Everton star has been ordered to give the injury complete rest until later in the week whereupon he will begin a recuperation programme.

Meanwhile, Bakayoko's Osasuna team mate Valdo has been given a boost with the news that his injury is not as serious as first feared.

The attacking midfielder injured an adductor muscle, but has been told he could still make this weekend's clash with Mallorca on Sunday.
