Leonardo Pisculichi is to leave Mallorca and sign for Qatari outfit Al-Arabi Sports Club.
Leonardo Pisculichi has agreed to leave Mallorca and sign for Qatari outfit Al-Arabi Sports Club after the two clubs agreed a deal for the Argentine forward.
The 22-year-old joined the Balearic Islanders in the winter transfer window at the start of 2006, but has failed to hold down a regular place in the team.
Al Arabi will pay é¼3.6 million (£2.5 million) for Pisculichi, who has agreed a three-year deal at the Doha-based club, that last won the national title in 1997.
Mallorca coach Gregorio Manzano will receive the majority of the windfall to spend on bolstering his squad in the forthcoming transfer window.
Pisculichi played 16 times last season and scored three goals after making the switch from Argentinos Juniors, but has seen his chances limited this term.
After making only one full appearance since the start of the campaign, he has opted to make the lucrative move to the Middle East after being told that his prospects at Mallorca were unlikely to improve in the short term.
