REAL MALLORCA have made a double bid for Real Oviedo stars Ivan Ania and Roberto Losada as they try to bolster their squad before the transfer window closes next week.

Mallorca have been trailing Spanish under-21 international midfielder Ania (pictured) for some time now. The islanders did make an offer for him in the summer, but failed to meet Oviedo's asking price.

However, with the transfer window closing on Monday night, Mallorca have made a new offer of 1000 million pesetas (£3.75 million) for the midfielder, along with striker Roberto 'Chino' Losada.

Having accepted an offer from Tenerife earlier in the week, only for the player to turn down the move Oviedo are keen to offload the player.

After being relegated to the Segunda Liga last season, Oviedo are in the middle of a clearout

Ania wants to play in La Primera, but appears to be holding out for the right move and he is expected to make the switch to Son Moix

Oviedo will be more reluctant to allow Losada to leave as he is rated as one of their best young prospects.

The promising young forward spent most of last season on the sidelines after breaking his leg, but he is now fully recovered and raring to go.

With a court case against Real Betis looming, the cash strapped second division club may be forced to accept the offer.

Meanwhile, Mallorca's Argentinean goalkeeper, Leo Franco, has been given the all clear to play after his Spanish passport was accredited.
