Villarreal striker Diego Forlan has, as expected, been left out of Uruguay's squad for the World Cup qualifier against Paraguay.
Forlan is at loggerheads with Uruguay coach Jorge Fosatti over his omission from the team's starting line-up in recent games.
Fosatti has remained unrepentant in the row and has now snubbed the former Manchester United forward for the important clash with Paraguay.
The coach has left Forlan's name off a list of 22 non-Uruguay based players for the tussle in Montevideo on November 17.
Juventus defender Paolo Montero and Internazionale ace Alvaro Recoba are back in the squad for a must-win game for Uruguay, who currently lie seventh in the ten-team group.
Overseas list:
Fabian Carini (Internazionale); Paolo Montero (Juventus), Alejandro Lembo, Washington Tais (Real Betis), Diego Lopez (Cagliari), Diego Lugano (San Pablo), Dario Rodriguez (Schalke); Pablo Garcia (Osasuna), Javier Delgado (Saturn), Richard Nunez (Grasshoppers), Marcelo Sosa (Atletico Madrid), Ruben Oliveira (Juventus), Martin Parodi (Panionios), Diego Perez (Monaco), Alvaro Recoba (Internazionale), Mario Regueiro (Racing Santander), Gustavo Varela (Schalke); Javier Chevanton (Monaco), Richard Morales (Osasuna), Vicente Sanchez (Toluca), Dario Silva (Sevilla), Marcelo Zalayeta (Juventus)
