Jorge Andrade is desperate to return to action for Deportivo La Coruna, after six months out on the sidelines.
The Portuguese international missed the World Cup this summer after sustaining a serious knee injury in La Liga in March.
He has not played since the Camp Nou match against Barcelona, but is now ready to fight for his place in the team again.
"It has been my sole objective since the last time I played," Andrade explained.
"My desire is to begin training and make myself available.
"Only the coach can decide when I will return.
"The key to my recuperation has been my determination. It has not been easy.
"I knew straight away that I would be out for seven or eight months, but I never gave up hope.
"From the time I first kicked a ball after six months, the doctors have been very positive."
While the Estadio Riazor centre back is not fit enough for the trip to Levante on Sunday, the away match against Real Betis on October 15 is a more realistic return date after the international break.
