Deportivo La Coruna striker Sebastian Taborda might not play again this season after sustaining a leg injury.

The Uruguayan came off worse in an accidental clash with a Depor team-mate in training and is now facing two months on the sidelines.

Tests have shown that the 24-year-old has a small tear in his left thigh.

Although Taborda could reappear before the end of the campaign, there is a good chance he will not regain full fitness this term.

The hit-man has been a peripheral figure at the Riazor since joining from Defensor in his homeland last summer.

He was a personal choice of Depor chairman Augusto Cesar Lendoiro and has yet to convince coach Joaquin Caparros of his ability.

He has yet to start a league game for the club having made nine substitute appearances so far this season.
