Osasuna are closing on the loan capture of Deportivo La Coruna defender Pablo amo.

The 27-year-old has been informed by Depor boss Joaquin Caparros that he does not feature in his plans for the coming season and can leave to secure regular action.

Amo joined the Galician outfit three summers ago from Sporting Gijon but has subsequently failed to establish himself at The Riazor.

A number of Primera teams are reported to be interested in securing his services but it is Osasuna who appear to be in pole position.

The Navarra-based side can offer Uefa Cup football, but the player's agent warned that the coming days would prove crucial for any deal.

"These days will be decisive for the operation," Rodrigo Fernandez stated.

It is understood Depor have consented to a season-long loan without the option of a permanent deal at the end of that time.
