Deportivo La Coruna have confirmed that Hannover midfielder Julian de Guzman will join them in the summer.

The Canadian international, who was not involved in his country's 1-0 win in Northern Ireland on Wednesday, will arrive at the Riazor after deciding to bring an end to his time in Die Bundesliga.

According to reports in Spain, the former Marseille and Saarbrucken player will pen a four-year contract with the Galician outfit.

The 23-year-old had been attracting interest from other clubs across Europe, with Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur and former club Marseille just two to be mentioned with the Toronto native.

Despite the links, the central midfielder has opted on a move to La Liga with Depor.

"I am happy that the decision has been taken," de Guzman told Spanish daily Marca.
