Sky Sports understands Malaga have joined the chase for former Tottenham man David Bentley.
Bentley is currently without a club after being released by Tottenham earlier this summer.
A number of English clubs are believed to have expressed an interest in Bentley, but the 28-year-old's availability has also alerted several sides from abroad.
Espanyol and FC Utrecht have already made enquiries about Bentley and now Malaga have shown an interest in the former Blackburn man.
Malaga are in the market for a new right-sided winger following Joaquin's departure to Fiorentina and Bentley is thought to figure on their list of targets.
Bentley, who has won seven caps for England, is thought to be open to the idea of continuing his career abroad after a successful spell on loan at Russian side FC Rostov last season.
