Espanyol have swooped to complete the signing of Porto star Paulo Peixoto.
The 26-year-old, who can operate at left back or on the left of midfield, has joined on a season-long loan.
Peixoto found himself out of favour at Porto and thus jumped at the opportunity of a move to La Liga.
He becomes Espanyol's second recent signing, following the capture of Juan Velasco from Atletico Madrid.
Velasco, a right back with five Spain caps to his name, was unveiled by the Catalans on Thursday following his free transfer move.
Espanyol boss Ernesto Valverde confirmed that Peixoto would be the club's final signing before the deadline.
