Espanyol midfielder Ivan De la Pena has refused to be drawn on his long-term future.
Espanyol midfielder Ivan De la Pena has refused to be drawn on his long-term future and claims he is focused only on starting the new season at the Catalan club.
The 30-year-old, whose Espanyol contract has just one year left to run, would not speculate on the possibility of leaving the side next summer.
The former Barcelona star admits he will not make any decision about his future beyond the terms of his existing contract.
"At the moment all I am thinking of is playing football. I will not make any decision on my future until next June," he said.
Looking ahead to the new campaign, De la Pena is confident of his team's chances of success in the coming season.
"I think the team has done well but it is always necessary to change things in order to achieve greater success," added De La Pena.
"I want to win as much as possible next season - the title, the Supercopa and the match against Barcelona as well. The mood is positive."
