Zabaleta settled in Spain

Espanyol midfielder Pablo Zabaleta is predicting a bright future for the Liga side.

Espanyol's Argentine midfielder Pablo Zabaleta is predicting a bright future for the Spanish side.

The 20-year-old, who joined Espanyol in July from San Lorenzo, scored his first goal for his new club in Sunday's 2-1 win over Malaga.

"This team is going to do great things during this season but we still have to grow up a little bit more," Zabaleta said.

"We don't want to get relaxed, we have to keep on fighting in order to reach our objectives.

"I am very happy with the victory that we got because we did it in a very different stadium."

Zabaleta added that he already feels at home in Spain, despite only having appeared twice for his new club.

"Each day that goes by I feel more comfortable in the team, I have got adapted at once," he said.
