Midfielder to stay at Hamburg

David Jarolim has declared himself happy to see out his contract with Hamburg - despite the opportunity to join his father in Saudi Arabia. The 32-year-old Czech Republic international is unlikely to be offered a new deal with the Bundesliga club but still chose to turn down January offers from elsewhere. One of those offers came from his own father, Karel Jarolim, the former Czech Republic coach who is now in charge at Al-Ahli Jeddah. "My father has been trying to sign me for his club side Al-Ahli, down there in Saudi Arabia where he is the manager," said Jarolim. "But I am definitely not to join this club. Things look too rigid to me down there." Instead, Jarolim has been promised by Hamburg manager Thorsten Fink he will not be frozen out at the club just because his contract expires in the summer. "Thorsten Fink told me I might be back in the first-team," explained Jarolim. "I will not be joining any club until the season is over. I am to see out my contract."
