Michel Salgado believes that Barcelona are in a great position to pip Real Madrid to the league title.
Real hold a six-point lead over Barcelona with eight games, including one El Clasico, remaining. However the former Real Madrid defender believes that all the pressure is on Jose Mourinho's men.
"The title race is far from over," said Salgodo on Revista.
"Looking at the calendar, it is really tough for Real Madrid - the biggest problem is that they drop points where we don't expect. They have dropped points at Malaga at home and against Villarreal which was a big surprise.
"They now find themselves in a difficult situation - they had a big points difference and they could afford a few mistakes - now they can't afford one. Valencia at home is not easy but they are not playing at their best so Real Madrid should be able to get the three points.
"There are two games that I think are going to be very difficult - the derby away from home against Atletico Madrid - in the last 12 years they have not beaten us but there is always a first time. Hopefully it won't be this one.
"Another one is Atletico Bilboa away from home. It is a kind of game that is very difficult for Real Madrid.
"I think Barcelona find themselves in a great position. They were thinking that the league was over but now they have a great chance. They just have to win the rest of their games and the calendar is good for them. They have everything in their favour to turn things around."
