Diego Simeone is keen to add some new faces to his Atletico Madrid squad before the end of the January transfer window and says there is still plenty of time for deals to be done.
The Argentinian - who made more than 100 appearances for Madrid as a player - took control of the Primera Liga club last month, but has yet to put his own stamp on the team by signing any new recruits.
However, Los Colchoneros have been linked with plenty of names and the 41-year-old is ready to strike should the right opportunity arise to bring new names to the Vicente Calderon.
Simeone said: "We all know that this is football - at any time anything can happen and we will just have to be ready."
And the Madrid boss is in positive mood ahead of Atletico's contest with Osasuna at the weekend, despite the absence of Gabi and Diego.
He added: "We have great confidence in the lads that have not yet had the chance to play."
