Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabricio Coloccini has been the subject of an approach by Olympiakos.

The Argentinian has been linked with a summer exit from La Liga and is already understood to have turned down offers to play in Russia and Qatar.

Now Olympiakos have made their interest known, with the Spanish media reporting that the Greek club have offered ‚é¼3.5million (£2.4million) in an attempt to secure the defender.

Coloccini's agent Marcelo Lombilla has confirmed the interest from the Athens club, and hinted that his client could consider leaving Spain.

"If any offer arrives it is logical that it will be studied," Lombilla told the Spanish press.

"We will not discard the exit if a big chance appears.

"Until this moment the only proposition to arrive is Olympiakos, but it is only a fax with intentions to negotiate."

Meanwhile, Olympiakos have reached a verbal agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Luciano Galletti for ‚é¼2.5m (£1.7million).

The Argentinian forward is set to sign a three-year deal with the Greek outfit after failing to earn a regular place in the Atletico side during his two-year stint at the club.

After hearing of the deal with Olympiakos, the 27-year-old admitted that he was relishing the prospect of moving to the club.

"I am looking forward to going to Athens and when the clubs say so, I will sign the deal," Galletti told As.

"I have chosen this move because Olympiakos are a big club and they are playing in the Champions League and have the chance to win things in Greece too.

"Sooner or later I will officially become an Olympiakos player."
