Martin Petrov has spoken of his excitement ahead of his impending switch to Liga outfit Atletico Madrid.
Wolfsburg have agreed a ‚é¼10 million fee for the Bulgaria striker, who is set to pen a four-year deal with Atletico on Friday.
Petrov did not hesitate when he heard of the interest from the Vicente Calderon outfit and is now looking to finalise his switch.
"When I was told that Atletico Madrid were interested in me I didn't think twice about it and immediately gave the go-ahead to the deal," said Petrov.
"Everything has been agreed in principle," he added to Bulgarian sports radio station Gong. "The contracts between the two clubs have to be signed on Monday."
Petrov would become Atletico's third close-season signing, should he complete the switch, in joining Mateja Kezman and Maxi Rodriguez at the club.
