Francesco Tavano is keen to make his Roma loan move a permanent switch, according to his agent.
Tavano is currently back in Italy with the Giallorossi after failing to settle during his brief time with Valencia.
The striker wants to prove himself at Roma, although, as yet, the club have not indicated whether they want to keep him.
"He wants to show he can stay in a big side like Roma," Stefano Guercini told Teleradiostereo.
"I have not had specific talks with Roma. We don't know if they've decided to keep him or not.
"The option expires on May 1st, but I have no meeting for that day.
"Roma and Valencia will get together after the derby the Giallorossi play in on Sunday.
"Francesco prefers staying in Italy."
